The July/August Black Girl Dangerous Writing Workshop is now OPEN. Register today!
The Black Girl Dangerous Writing Workshop is a workshop for queer, trans*, and gender-non-conforming writers of color.
Oakland:
This offering is a 4-week workshop, taking place on consecutive Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm, beginning July 24, 2012, in Oakland, CA. We’ll workshop stories, novels, memoirs, essays—whatever prose you’re working on and need support for. We’ll also do writing exercises and read the work of published authors to get ourselves inspired and improve our literary skills. Together, we’ll get our stories ready for the world (or just for ourselves)! In person, we’ll share food, love, and literature (three of my favorite things).
Online:
This offering is a 4-week workshop, taking place on consecutive Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm, beginning July 25, 2012, in Oakland, CA. Same format as the Oakland workshop, but we’ll use modern technology (Skype/Google Hangout) to connect.
Online, we’ll share love and literature (two of my favorite things).
